Cerset 39. Women's ‘Kerset’ Inv. #452 Poltava Region, Khorol District Village of Khvoshchivka Early 20th century Made of dark-coloured jacquard fabric, lined with calico, with internal ties. The armholes and neckline are trimmed with satin piping. The kerst is decorated with silk braid around the neckline and chest. The chest features an appliqué floral motif in the form of a branch with flowers. The appliqué is made of pink and blue silk ribbons. At the back, the fabric has six longitudinal folds, decorated with buttons. The jacket belonged to Marina Semenchenko and was donated to the collection by her daughter, Raisa Makarivna Kuzub, born in 1936.
