Cеrset 37. Women's ‘Kerset’ Inv. #509 Poltava Region, Khorol District, Vyshnyaky Village Early 20th century Made of brown store-bought rep fabric, lined with calico, with internal ties. The armholes and neckline are decorated with velvet piping. The kerst is decorated with red and blue silk braid around the neckline and chest. The chest features an appliqué floral motif in the form of a branch with flowers. The appliqué is made of blue, green, red and white silk braid. At the back, the fabric has 6 longitudinal folds - ‘fandiv’ or ‘whiskers’ - which are decorated with buttons.
