Cerset 36. Women's ‘Kerset’ Inv. #293 Poltava Region, Khorol District Early 20th century Made of dark-coloured lustre fabric, lined with calico, with internal ties. The armholes and neckline are decorated with velvet piping. The kerst is decorated with silk braid around the neckline and chest. The chest has an appliqué floral motif in the form of a branch with flowers, made of pink and blue silk ribbons. At the back, the fabric has six longitudinal folds, or ‘fandiv’ or ‘whiskers,’ which are decorated with buttons.
