Cerset 31. Women's outer garment ‘Yupka’ Inv. #445 Poltava region, Khorol district Andriivka village Early 20th century Made of blue lustre fabric, lined with calico, with internal ties. The skirt is decorated with a decorative velvet overlay on the chest and velvet trim on the sleeve ends. The chest, neckline and sleeves are framed with pink and green silk braid. The chest overlay is filled with smooth embroidery in silk thread with a floral motif in the form of a branch with flowers. At the back, the fabric forms six longitudinal folds, or ‘fandiv’ or ‘whiskers,’ which are decorated with buttons.
