Cerset 015. Women's ‘Kerset’ Inv. #455 Poltava Region, Khorol District Vyshnyaky Village Early 20th century Made of light brown ‘etched’ velvet, lined with calico, with internal ties. The armholes and neckline are trimmed with velvet piping. The bodice is decorated with a square of black velvet on the chest, framed by green and pink silk braid, which is also placed around the neckline. The square on the chest of the bodice is embroidered with a floral ornament in the form of a tree with flowers. The embroidery is done in satin stitch with coloured silk threads. At the back, the fabric forms six longitudinal folds, or ‘fandiv’ or ‘vusiv’, which are decorated with buttons. The jacket belonged to Nosach Oleksandra Yakovlevna.
