Women's ‘Kerset’

Early 20th century
Made of dark velvet, lined with calico, with internal ties.
The armholes and neckline are trimmed with brown calico piping.
Decorative silk braid around the neckline and chest. The chest of the jacket is decorated with silk braid appliqué in the form of a floral motif - branches with green, white and pink flowers. There is decorative stitching along the edge of the right side.
At the back, the fabric forms six longitudinal folds, decorated with buttons. It belonged to Natalka Peretyatsa, and was donated to the collection by her great-grandson Stanislav Koryak.
