Literature Memorial museum of Hryhoriy Skovoroda holds the exposition in the building which used to be home for Kovalivskys landowner family. It is the homestead with a pond and old park near Kharkiv built in XVIII century as a garden pavilion. Those days the homestead was used for celebrations and hosting guests.Five Museum halls introduce its constant exposition. The exhibits represent devoted life and genuine creativity of the outstanding thinker. Basic Museum fund contains over three thousand exhibits to be connection to the life and creative path of Hryhoriy Skovoroda. The Kovalivskys’ house where the philosopher lived and died, 700-year old giant oak to give its shadow to the thinker in the hours of work, the pit attended by him every morning, monument to the poet by sculptor Ivan Kavaleridze, and Hryhoriy’s Skovoroda tomb which is a sacral spot are the parts of the Museum complex.
