National Nature museum of Kharkiv National University named after Karazin is one of the oldest European museums to be engaged in exposing as well as scientific and research field and promotes scientific ecological knowledge. Museum funds are now keeping over 250 thousand exhibits from all over the world. Twenty three Museum halls hold exposition by the four following divisions: Geology Vertebrate and invertebrate species Organic world evolution and Nature protection Museum functions for education and student tuition, gives consultancy to researchers and scientists, and organizes exhibitions in nature protection, mineralogy, and paleontology. Over forty thousand Kharkivites, tourists, foreign guests as well as scientists get annually introduced to the Museum expositions.
