Kharkiv Museum of Art is located in one of the most beautiful buildings from the old Kharkiv days and used to be the house of merchant Ignatishchev. The collection started 1805 and introduces paintings by Repin, Ayvazovski, Borovykovsky, Benoua. It also features engravings by Durer as well as the samples of decorative craft art, icon painting, graphic art, porcelain, bronze, glass and bone works.
