Memorial museum which is, in fact, a house of Ilya Repin is located in ancestral home of Repins family. The building belongs to the period of military settlements of Emperor Oleksandr the II. The main focus of the museum exposition is on Chuhuyiv period in the artist’s life and creative activity. Not big but rather essential expositions tell about the master’s childhood. The museum introduces four genuine icons painted by him in the age of 14-18. Except of the artist’s genuine painting works by his famous colleagues Serov, Vereshchahin, Pelevin are also presented.
