Kharkiv History Museum of Sumtsov is one of the biggest ones in Ukraine. It’s an important touristic attraction of our country. The museum was founded in 1920 as the Museum of Slobidska Ukraine of Skovoroda. At present, the museum collection includes over 300 thousand Ukrainian-wide and world significant exhibits. For instance, a unique Hetman flag of late XVII century, 50 karbovanets (monetary unit of Ukrainian Folk Republic) mold of 1918, valuable collections of archeological and ethnographic artefacts, and weapon samples. The museum annually hosts more than 200 thousand visitors. The museum guests are offered tours in Ukrainian, Russian, English as well as the interactive workshops.
