Exhibition description

Cerset 007. Women's ‘Kerset’ Inv. #287 Poltava Region, Khorol District Early 20th century Made of dark blue etched velvet, lined with printed calico, with internal ties. The armholes and neckline are decorated with velvet piping. The kerst is trimmed with light-coloured silk braid around the neckline and chest. The square on the chest features an appliqué floral motif in the form of a branch with light-coloured flowers. At the back, the fabric forms six longitudinal folds, decorated with buttons. The jacket was donated to the collection by Oleksandra Gerasimova.
